Editorial Policy
How Natural Horizons content is produced, reviewed, updated, and corrected.
Last updated: August 17, 2026
Original content
All material published on Natural Horizons is written originally for the site by our editorial team. We do not republish third-party texts or use copied content. Quotations from other works, when necessary, are brief and accompanied by attribution.
Editorial review
Before publishing, every text is read by a team member other than the one who wrote it. The review checks clarity, internal coherence, heading hierarchy, presence of alternative text on images, and whether factual claims match the cited sources.
Use of sources
When an article presents factual information that requires a reference — natural processes, conservation data, technical definitions — we list the sources consulted at the end of the text. We prioritize scientific institutions, environmental agencies, and internationally recognized organizations.
Operational information, such as opening hours, fees, and trail conditions, changes frequently. That's why we recommend, in every article, verifying such details with the responsible authorities or administrations before undertaking any activity.
Updating information
We periodically review published articles. When a piece of information is no longer accurate, we update the text. Significant content changes may be flagged within the article itself.
Error correction
Mistakes happen and are corrected as soon as they are identified. If you find an inaccuracy, write to [INSERT OFFICIAL EMAIL] or use the contact form. Correction requests take priority in our response queue. Factual corrections — not just wording adjustments — are logged in the article.
Authorship
Articles indicate the editorial staffer responsible for the content. The bylines used identify roles within the project and do not imply professional credentials, certifications, or titles.
Independence and advertising
Editorial decisions are made by the editorial team. Advertising spaces are always labeled "Advertising" or "Sponsored content" and are never presented as editorial content. If any content involves sponsorship, a commercial partnership, or an affiliate link, that relationship will be clearly disclosed to the reader within the content itself.
We do not publish content that promises financial gains, guaranteed results, or unrealistic benefits, nor do we use headlines that mislead readers.
Use of images
The site's images are produced or licensed for commercial use and include alternative text written for screen readers. We do not use copyrighted images without authorization.
Content limitations
Our content is informational and does not constitute professional, travel, medical, legal, or safety advice. See the disclaimer for details.
